Dr Bernard Brett

An experienced Medical Manager and Clinical Leader, Dr Bernard Brett has held senior Medical Management posts since 2003, including the posts of Chair of the Clinical Senate Council of the East of England, Medical Director at the James Paget University Hospital’s NHS Foundation Trust, Deputy Medical Director at two Trusts, CCG board member and Divisional Director. He is current interim Medical Director at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. Bernard has been a consultant gastroenterologist since 2001, his primary areas of clinical interest being therapeutic endoscopy, including bowel cancer screening and ERCP, and luminal gastroenterology.
Dr Charlotte Pither

Charlotte Pither is a consultant gastroenterologist based at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. A doctor since 2001, her experience includes gastroenterology and intestinal failure, rehabilitation and transplantation. She was appointed to a substantive consultant post in 2013 and in 2017 joined the Norfolk and Norwich team as Lead Clinician for Clinical Nutrition and Intestinal failure. Charlotte is secretary of the Small Bowel section of the British Society of Gastroenterology and member of the British Association of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition.
Tracy McDonnell

Director of Nursing and Patient Safety Experience Lead
An experienced Lead nurse with many years of experience in Endoscopy and management, Tracy is also the East of England Academy lead nurse with responsibilities for delivering education to endoscopy nurses throughout the region. Tracy currently works at the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital as Lead Nurse and has worked in Endoscopy since 1992. Her role involves setting up new services and improvements and making sure that they deliver a high quality, safe efficient service to all patients. Her primary areas of interest are staff education and development.
